The Morin Hotel Hue, together with the Dalat Palace Hotel, is my favorite Hotel in Vietnam. The Old World ambience, the superb public areas and dinning patio transports you back to the 1920's. We were upgraded to a suite, which was tastefully decorated, had an excellent view and contained all the amenities we needed. We had several of our Vietnamese colleagues over for breakfast which they enjoyed immensely and we could discuss our research in elegant surroundings.
This really is a superb hotel with character.  I have stayed at the Park Hyatt Saigon as well as the Sheraton Saigon, but these hotels do not have the character of the Morin Hotel.

A good place to be, an oasis in Hue, great location. A fine room, delightfully designed. What a surprise: even with clean wooden floor panels instead of filthy carpets. Somehow like old Russia. A funny detail: a window between living room and the bathroom, which gives you the opportunity to communicate at any times. Wow. Double windows to the street would be useful, with the honking habit of the Vietnamese drivers. We enjoyed having breakfast in the inner courtyard. And everybody was attentive and helpful. We'll be back.

Fantastic, located right on a main road, so you hear all the street activity below. Very luxurious, popular with French tourists. Beautiful gardens and the night life was good.
Pool, sauna and massage, billiards, traditional shows, Perfume River nearby where you can take a little cruise.
