If you like communist-style architecture this is the hotel for you. Big and bland. Opposite the beach and a 15 minute walk from the backpackers area. The breakfast buffet was enormous but no Western food. You can use the pool of the hotel next door. High rise construction around the hotel with people working 24 hours a day made our stay noisy (Jan 2010)

The hotel very interesting: purely, cosy, delicious food, the staff of the cooperative, children are very good. In the hotel you can select excursions, buy tickets for the bus, train and plane. Convenient location of the hotel. In 2009 at the hotel in July-August 3 weeks-wonderful. In 2010 Viet Nam again and again, only this hotel.

My friend and I enjoyed our 2 night stay here and would have liked to stay longer. The staff were polite and helped in any way they could although the language barrier was a little difficult at times. To use the pool requires a ticket from reception - not a difficult task at all. Request a taxi and it is available immediately. Not the quietest on weekends with weddings etc. being held but we enjoyed that. This stretch of beach was exactly what we wanted and enjoyed.

My wife and I found the Hai Yen a very
uncomfortable hotel to stay in. The staff obviously don't like westerners, we found them very rude, to the point if you said goodmorning
you would be looked up and down and ignored. Although the housekeeping
ladies were friendly. There wasn't much sleep to be had as there were
weddings and functions be held there. Just going to the pool was annoying
as you would be harrassed if you didn't have a ticket, which trying to
get one is another story. We spent 6 nights in this hotel which was
mean't to be relaxing but was far from it.

Ich habe hier 2 Tage verbracht. Das Hotel liegt vieleicht 50m vom
Strand, ich finde es super. Aus dem Balkon ist super Panorama. Preis ist
gut, Lage ist gut, ich kann es jedem empfehlen.
