Established in December 2004 by Michael and Max, 2 Aussies living in Hanoi. Why? Because 'after a few beers it was a good idea'.

The Hanoi Backpackers' Hostel was the first and still remains Hanoi's only European style hostel. Situated down a quiet street just 50m from the front steps St Joseph's Cathedral in the centre of town and a 3 minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. The hostel is perfectly located to explore the Old Quater.
