We really enjoyed our stay at the Melia. It is a spacious, clean, comfortable and modern hotel. The bathrooms probably need to be renovated, but the rooms themselves are great (we stayed in two different rooms during our stay). The Melia is in a good location (a 5-10 min walk from the lake), the staff is fantastic and the hotel is a great value. Price being the same, I would probably stay in the Hilton or Metropole instead (they are supposed to be more elegant), but I would definitely recommend the Melia.

As a business traveller, I was pretty happy with this hotel. Although my company being a major corporate client of theirs could also be the reason why they were so accommodating.

Especially good also for muslim travellers because the hotel can be asked to make special meals for you and it is also nearby to some Malaysian restaurants. They can also provide a basket of amenities like prayer mats, a Quran, chart of prayer timetables etc. in your room, for your convenience.
