we warm othe passengers that we were rip off in this hotel. The
hotel is good but just arrived They pushed us to buy a luxury tour to
Halong Bay as we wanted (it was our honeymoon an wanted somethin
special. The thing was that the servicies we were to be given didnt
papear: bad quality food, non stop boats changing to worse, no kayacking
as it was arranged, the hotel in Cat Ba island was much worse than we
had booked and they left us in a pier and nobody came to pick us, but as
they didnt give us any voucher about contact telephone numbers, diaries
and timetables
we couldnt manage that nigthmare (after paying a huge among of money),
but the worse was that they didnt do anything to solve the troubles.
When we came back to Hanoi we complained and they gave us some peanuts
(20 dolars!), a taxi ride and an hotelk overnigth, but the damage was
done and our honeymoon spoiled. They blamed the tour companies but for
costumer seller are always the responsibles. We wouldnt want to write
his advise but if you want to book a tour go to a veritable and
profesional travel agency in order to ensure a enjoyable trip.

The most appalling service. The "boys club" at front desk were not in the slightest way helpful or efficient and rather dismissive. We arrived late in the evening, and yet needed to wait for our room to be made avialable. No explaination or apology offered. Other guests we met experienced the same lack of service with lost Sapa train tickets that were sent to the hotel. We had a computer in our room, but no access. Small and smelly bathroom. Wouldn't recommend at all.

I'm very appreciated for the service of this
hotel since check in time due to the staffs were very warmest and welcome. This hotel made me happy like a living at my home. Many thanks TOM ****OBSENCE***/ ANDY / ALEX and ROSE that they made my husband and I were enjoyable our holiday in Hanoi. Sure that if I have a chance to go to Hanoi, Splendid Star Hotel is only and first priority for my booking.

Located in the heart of the old quarter, close to Hanoi Great Church, short walking to main street and Hoan Kiem Lake, this hotel is fantastic location for go shopping.
The rooms are not too spacious but it's adequate for our require, comfortable and modern, with cable TV with many channels over the world, DVD player and your own private Computer in high speed internet connection even if you bring a laptop can be able to access the wireless connection very fast also. Breakfast was yummy and enough in a small restaurant. We had a fruit basket upon arrival. There was complimentary mineral water. Air Con, fridge and a welcome drink and fruit platter.
I would recommend this hotel for traveler to Hanoi and looking for luxury service.
