we stayed 3 nights in the stars hotel, the staff was oke, untill we
booked our tours elswhere, especially the young men was not so polite.
No we defenitly would not stay in this hotel again, you can find a better hotel
for the same rate.
Mr. Jason Chua, Singapore

Stayed in Stars Hotel from 8 May to 12 May 2006. Throughout my stay, I\'m
impressed by the genuine warmth and friendliness of the staff. The rooms
are clean and comes equipped with a/c and tv. If you want to experience
vietnam, stay in the old quarters and get to see Hanoians going about
their daily routine.

My wife and I are very satisfied with our stay at this hotel: The hotel
is clean, the service is good with exellent personal service that you
hardly find at other hotel at this price range. Only one caution - that
may be either minor or major issue for hotel guests - is that the hotel
do not have an elevator. However, how can you expect to have everything
for a hotel located right in the heart of the Hanoi Old Quarter,
adjacent to the famous Hoan Kiem Lake at this price range
($US15-$US30/night).
Again thank you for having provided us a wonderful stay at your hotel.

I am my family of 5 stayed at the Stars Hotel in Hanoi early
December 2005 and we had a terrific
experience. We stay there only for one day, because they didn't have
the room for all of us for that week. However, we received excellent
service. Mr Hung and Ms Hoa were very very nice.
This is the first time we visited Vietnam and they were so caring and
warm, they made us feel
very comfortable. We wanted 2 rooms in the same floor, which is
something that they didn't have.
Mr. Hung helped me find another hotel the next day. He is really a
gentleman and a good listener.
They serve good Pho every morning. Next time, we visit Hanoi we
definitely would like to stay and
spend more time at this hotel. Small hotel with
HUGE heart.

I have stayed app. 10 days (3 sept to 14 sept 2005) in Stars Hotel
with my husband and mom. We have great days staying in the hotel
thanks to Huong, Hung, Giang, Tuan and Truong. I've sprained my
ankle, Huong has token care of my ankle and my needs in that period.
Hung has looked after my ankle by cooling down with ice. All of them
have worked very good and very very modest, and that makes them so
specially. I love you all guys. Hereby I particularly thank to Huong
and Giang for your fine conversations and services. You do a good
job.

We spent several nights in the Stars Hotel after having
booked it via internet. We experienced a friendly and helpful staff.
However there were some issues we were not satisfied with. First of
all after booking the most expensive Deluxe room more or less based
on the picture we were disappointed about the size of the room and
the differences between the lovely picture and the real impression.
There seem to be many Deluxe rooms in this hotel altough the clear
distinction was not clear to us. In addition to that we would not
say that any room to the street in the ancient city is quiet. In the
small restaurant it was very cold due to the AC. Although it was
anyway cold outside they could not stop the AC or even heat the
restaurant thus we had to sit with our winter jackets there. After
being asked the staff answered that the AC is broken and the
operation condition cannot be changed. Moreover, we were shocked to
see the same rat in the restaurant at several days. Again, they did
not take care about removing it somehow. We would have expected a
more customer comfort related attitude. Amex is now not accepted
anymore. I asked to remove the badge in their window since I wanted
to pay with it to save 1% compared with Mastercard but they refused
to accept the Amex. but they wanted me to pay the additional 1% with
Mastercard although they forgot to remove the Amex acceptance badge.
Regarding the tours they work together with ODC travel. This was
well-organized and we enjoyed the tours. But 2 US$ were added to the
prices which are published on the hotel. Maybe this is for the
hotel-pocik-up service. For comparision of prices this should be
known.
