AuLac Hotel is located in District 3 but fairly close to the tourist
area of District 1. The hotel is very clean, and the service excellent.
There is free internet on the second floor and a buffet breakfast
(mostly Asian food). It is a fair better value (at $36 night) that some
of the other hotels in District 1. The only drawback was the loud noise
from the outside street traffic.

The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff was very courteous and
professional. Friendly. They made me feel at home, comfortable and safe.
The facilities were well furnished, clean and modern. I will stay there
again. I will stay there on my next trip to Vietnam.

It was a business trip and most popular hotels are pretty booked up.
Our company booked me at Au Lac and was a bit skeptic at start
coz I don't see reviews on this hotel. Surprise, surprise, it was a very
nice hotel, quite new, roomy and felt very comfortable with the place.
From Au lac hotel, it was just a few blocks away from Notre Dame
Cathedral. From the 7th floor, i got a corner room, thus, i had a very
nice view overlooking the Notre Dame Cathedral. I took some pictures and
you'll see what i mean...
