Dong Do hotel in HCMC provided great value for money. Had excellent location in heart of city, walking distance to all downtown attractions. Staff was very competent, spoke excellent english and made our stay in HCMC enjoyable.

Good location. However, my overall experience has been poor. Upon checking in, I was told that the aircon in my room broke down and that the room was not available as a result. I was sent to another hotel nearby which was more expensive and not good value given its standard.

During my stay at the hotel, the rooms were ordinary, the bathrooms small, there was no shower curtains which meant that water splashed all over the bathroom.
Time and again, the staff showed that their organisation skills were poor and that I was inconvenienced numerous times. The only consolation is that they were polite in their incompetence.
It is unlikely that I would return for a repeat experience.
