As the regional capital My Tho is the main market dealing in all the produce from the region as well as fish & seafood from My Tho's large ocean going fishing fleet. The very large & exuberant market is one of South Vietnam's biggest sources for dried fish & other dried seafood products such as Kho Muc - dried squid. At nighttime the market is dedicated to the dealing & sorting of Mekong river fish -particularly catfish for HCMC's wholesale markets. Produce especially fruit & vegetable is delivered by boat directly to the market.

It is a popular starting point for tourists to take a boat trip on the Mekong River.

Early in the morning, take a boat to visit the colorful Cai Rang floating market. Here, larger sized boats anchor and create lanes that smaller boats weave in and out of. The main items sold here are fruit and vegetables and each boat has a long upright pole at its bow from which samples of the goods for sale are hung. The waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with mango, bananas, papaya, pineapple, and even floating pho vendors. Along the way, admire the scenery and daily life of the local villagers. After a visit to the colorful floating market, check out & have lunch before the return to Ho Chi Minh City. Return Sai Gon at 6:00 PM

Early in the morning, a boat will takes us cruising to the most busiest floating market of the Mekong delta Cai Rang floating market. Hundreds of vessels gather here to trade all kind of fruit from neighboring fertile farms. Then we will walk through the village to visit a rice-husking mill and a rice noodles making shop. A nice chance to discover the daily life of Vietnamese people in Mekong Delta. Have lunch at local restaurant before coming back to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way back to Sai Gon, we stop at Cai Khe market where we can buy some food. Then we visit Long Dinh Pagoda where they make the incense sticks. Tourists are allowed to take photos at here. Return Sai Gon at 6:00PM
