Situated in Ly Village, Lao Chai Commune, away from the busy town center of Sa Pa and laying its back on Sapa mountainsides, Laxsik lies is the heart of Muong Hoa Valley, all surrounded by aromatic rice terraced fields. Inspired by the domestic architecture of the ancient H’Mông people in Sa Pa, 9 bungalows and 10 bedrooms at Laxsik are deftly designed to bring back the cultural space of Ly Village in the early 20th century. Constructed with very local materials such as wood, granite, pebbles and clay, Laxsik Ecolodge welcomes you with a novel but relaxing, peaceful and intimate living space by the nature.
Staying in Laxsik Ecolodge, you will have a chance to experience the locals’ daily routine in Muong Hoa Valley. You can transplant rice seedlings right on the field you are living, cook your meals with fresh and mountain-tasty foods collected right in your garden or simply take a walk around Muong Hoa Valley to enjoy the fresh air filling your chest and the soothing smell of the land. This would be the perfect place for you to wind down and at the same time explore the culture of H’Mong, one of the most mysterious ethnic groups in the world, through their untold stories.

At Laxsik Ecolodge, every object has its own story, every name emerged from history. We named our restaurant Muong Hoa not only because Laxsik sits on the slope of Muong Hoa Valley but it was also the name of the first hotel run by Vietnamese people in Sapa 20 years ago. At that time, Muong Hoa Hotel was considered to present for the service style of Sapa. After years and years, although it no longer exists, Sapa people still remember and feel proud of the old brand. Muong Hoa Restaurant is designed with the architecture of H’Mong communal house. Here you will have a chance to experience the local cuisine in a new, unique and cosy cultural space. |
