Good: "We booked this cruise thru our agency choosing the Oriental Sails as there were not too many activities leaving us time to relax and this is what happened in reality.
The trip from Hanoi took 4 hours though which seemed to take an eternity. When we arrived in Halong it was raining and only got heavier by the time we boarded the boat and had eaten lunch the rain cleared to a hazy afternoon for our activities, hiking up to the cave, kayaking and then a walk to the house on the hill, then we were free to enjoy laying on a deck chair till dinner. The crew were not at all pushy to get us to purchase cocktails but were available if we wanted them. After dinner there was kareoke. Some passengers enjoyed others retired.
There were only 10 of us on board from a maximum of 16 so there was plenty of space and time to get to know our fellow cruisers. Tai chi was offered at 7am however I opted for a further half hour in bed and rose in time for breakfast at 7.30 we then enjoyed cruising around the bay before berthing back at our starting point around 11. Lunch was served at 11.30, by 12.30 we were on the tender back to sure to begin the arduous trip back to Hanoi.
We found this cruise very relaxing and the crew very attentive. Would recommend and would go again. "
