I highly recommend the Bich Duyen hotel on Pham Ngu Lao Street in Ho Chi Minh City. The hotel is extremely clean, the staff are excellent and it is great value for money. I have stayed at many of the budget hotels throughout Vietnam and I will definately stay here again next time I am in HCMC.

Very clean hotel and very nice manager.
breakfast oke.
We would stay again in this hotel only we would try to get on the first floor, because we stayed on the 4 floor so we have to walk all the way up by stairs.

Excellent small hotel to stay in - Chanh the Manager is a fantastic guy, you can have a joke with him in english and he understands - Good value for money - I stayed several extra nights
after the initial booked days - Chanh was very accommodation in that respect. Keep up the good work, you do Vietnam proud -

Great location, The staff are as
friendly as they are hospitable... always willing to help with "the smile" that
vietnam is known for. They are very helpful. Rooms are very clean and very
comfortable. I definitely would recommend them to anyone travelling to Ho Chi
Minh.

My husband and I are in our 60s, and
were on our first visit to Vietnam. Our hotel/hostel requirements were basic:
inexpensive, reasonably clean, central and private bath. A web search showed
Bich Duyen had good reviews. It much surpassed our expectations, giving us what
we consider luxury during travel: fantastically clean; consistent hot water;
good breakfast included; air conditioning (which we mostly didn't need); colour
TV (which we didn't have time to watch); a good-sized room and bath; free
internet access; and soft toilet paper. They arranged to get us from the airport
at midnight, and transportation back to the airport another midnight.
Chanh, the manager, is available virtually 24 hours/day and is always most
friendly, fun and helpful for any request. Other staff are equally wonderful.
One note: If you're a person who needs thick luxury towels, bring your own. But
the ones here do the job just fine.
Were we to return to Ho Chi Minh City, this is where we would stay
again.

Booked a room for one night but room was only available at 5pm.
Was offered a bigger room in the hotel opposite (under the same owner).
Therefore, I can only review the service of the staff rather than the
accommodation. Chanh the manager was super efficient, helpful and friendly. He
gives the best tips on where to get the best noodles in the neighbourhood. He
even cooks the eggs for breakfast! Talk about multi-tasking!

We arrived in Ho Chi Ming during the Tet festival & were having
difficulty finding a place. This place was recommended by some other travellers
we meet while trying to find accommodation.
It's in a lane way so you will definitely have a good nice sleep. We
paid $15 USD for 2 people per night including breakfast (possibly cheaper if not
during TET). Breakfast is standard but very filling (coffee, juice, bread roll,
butter, jam, fruit). Have your laundry done for 10,000 VND per kilo. We stayed
in 2 rooms (we returned here later on in our trip because we were so impressed)
and both times, rooms were clean & very spacious.
It's fairly close to all the action, and is a block or so from Sinh cafe
where you can find all the cafes, etc. Staff were great and the man at the front
desk who spoke English well, was very helpful from organizing motorbike rides to
calling the train station. The owner threw a party at midnight on their New
Years day - food & alcohol supplied which was lots of fun. Free internet access.
Great stay and would definitely return.
